Earlier this month, CapCity CoWorks had the opportunity to host a networking event for Downtown Albany’s Small Business Peer Group, a monthly gathering of downtown small business owners designed to inform, inspire and strengthen the local business community. It was a great event, and we were happy to welcome individuals who had previously not seen or been introduced to our coworking space. Some of the guests included Jim Hart: Merrill Lynch, City Rocks, Liberty Lofts; Lena Hart: Precision Fitness, Liberty Lofts; Angelo Maddox: Fresh & Fly Inc.; and Rose Miller: Pinnacle Human Resources.
For the next Small Business Peer Group meeting, the Albany Downtown Business Improvement District (founders of the Small Business Peer Group) is inviting small business owners to join the Residential Open House event on Wednesday, September 18. Residential properties with available units will showcase their buildings for the public; this could be a good opportunity for small business owners to see first-hand some of the new property available.
